KEO OUDOM, "MY GREAT PLEASURE TO WIN BARCAMP LOGO COMPETITION"

On Sunday afternoon, our BarCamp organizers arranged a day to meet our logo winner, Mr. KEO Oudom. In the background of bachelor degree in Information Technology at National University of Management in 2006 and two years in Graphic Design, Mr. Oudom is very interested in creative design and online social network. With his excited face towards our organizers, he showed his interest and hard work for this contest.

Deeply interested in BarCamp event, he mentioned that he joined the event every year since the first BarCamp event at CJCC, 2008 ; PUC, 2009 and UP, 2010. This year, he is going to join the event again and he is going to show his talent in session hour. He expressed his impression that BarCamp has given tremendous knowledge to everyone because we live in modern society. This year, with the Logo competition, he said, "I feel happy that everyone can join and I am happy that I could show my hidden skill."

In his generation, there was not much opportunity to show abilities. But now, people have many chances. He showed his comment on younger generation, "What you love, you have to be ready for it." Have been asked about the concept of logo, Mr. Oudom gave a short but very clear explanation about it. The red and blue colors represent Cambodia flag. Independence Monument is the symbol of Phnom Penh and the shape of logo maintains the origin of BarCamp philosophy. Hence, the clear message of logo is enough to be understood and it is perfect to be used as new BarCamp 2011 Logo.

Winning number one of logo competition, he received a certificate of appreciation from BarCamp top organizer, Mr. BE Chantra. He said, "My pleasant is not the prize but it's what I can contribute to BarCamp 2011."
